Sometimes called a perc or perk test, soil evaluations are one of our specialties. We provide the quickest, most accurate soil tests in North Florida.
Soil profiles taken during the evaluation are needed to obtain a septic permit and septic system in Florida.
Soil evaluations are useful in determining the seasonal high water table, texture, and organic content present. They are useful during due diligence periods for real estate and property purchases. They can help determine the type of septic system to expect if building. They can also determine whether or not a property is buildable at all.
Have you already have a soil test and don’t like the results or need a second opinion? Our results are often preferred by homebuilders and property owners, developers and regulators due to our experience in the area.
A site evaluation can be done at the same time if needed for permitting.
A great way to feel comfortable with the property you plan on purchasing is to get a soil evaluation done either during or before the due diligence period. This way you will know the preliminary expected septic system specifications before the transaction is complete saving possibly thousands of dollars or making a mistake. Our preliminary soil assessments can be tailor ordered to your specifications for any size property.
Soil boring reports are required by most counties to begin construction. Soil below the foundation is tested for expansive clay, organic material, and buried material. We examine the soil by conducting a ten foot boring and profiling each texture and color change. Results are compiled on a data sheet with an aerial map showing the location of each boring. Our engineer verifies and approves each report.
